TELEMEDICINE: PRESENT AND FUTURE

Today, Friday October 22, and tomorrow, Saturday 23, The annual national conference of the Italian Society of Telemedicine (SIT) is taking place. It puts together all the competences that can help develop telemedicine. 

Among the most interesting panels offered by SIT, there is “P.N.R.R (National Recovery Plan) and promotion of community healthcare. Let’s start by betworking what is there and works well already: pharmacies, doctors’ offices, and home care cooperatives” SIT Region Puglia symposium, with the contribution of Cardio On Line Europe. At the heart of the discussion, the role of pharmacies in the new, post-pandemic medicine.

The speakers have highlighted the fundamental role that Italian pharmacies have played in the relationship between citizens and medicine during the pandemic. The network of Italian pharmacies is a fundamental service in the Local Healthcare System, which create a serious and continuing dialogue with the institutions and the state. When the pharmacies become a veritable health centre, they must be thought of differently: many useful and crucial services for citizens – starting with COVID testing – are already a reality and Italian pharmacies are the best platform for the development of telemedicine. Experimentation must however turn into reality, also thanks to the vision given by the PNNR (National recovery fund)’s funding. Cooperation and coproduction is ever more crucial, desired both by Doctors and Pharmacists, which will allow the involvement of a wider healthcare area among which community nurses. The pharmacy as a service hub can become a crossroads of different professional disciplines, in which each one takes on their role’s responsibilities, working together efficiently with the others. Post-Covid, it is already a reality for Covid tests and vaccines.

22 – 23 OTTOBRE 2021

Si svolge oggi, venerdì 22 ottobre e domani, sabato 23 il congresso annuale nazionale della SIT, la Società Italiana di Telemedicina. Mette assieme tutte le competenze che possono sviluppare la telemedicina. 

Fra i panel più interessati proposti da SIT anche questo sul tema: “P.N.R.R. e promozione della Sanità Territoriale. Cominciamo a mettere in rete quello che c’è e funziona: le farmacie, gli studi medici e le cooperative di assistenza domiciliare”, simposio SIT Regione Puglia, con il contributo di Cardio On Line Europe. Al centro del dibattito il ruolo delle farmacie nella nuova medicina, post pandemia. 

I relatori hanno messo in evidenza il ruolo fondamentale avuto dalle farmacie italiane nel rapporto fra i cittadini e la medicina nel periodo della pandemia. La rete delle farmacie italiane è un servizio fondamentale nel Servizio Sanitario Locale, per creare un dialogo serie e continuo con le istituzioni e con lo stato. Nel momento in cui le farmacie diventato presidio sanitario vanno però pensate in maniera diversa, molti servizi utili e fondamentali per i cittadini – a partire dai tamponi – sono già realtà e le farmacie italiane sono la piattaforma migliore per sviluppare la telemedicina. Si passi però dalla sperimentazione alla realtà, anche con la prospettiva data dai fondi del PNNR.  E’ sempre più fondamentale la cooperazione e la coproduzione che sia Medici sia Farmacisti vogliono e che consentirà di coinvolgere anche l'area sanitaria tra cui gli infermieri di comunità. La Farmacia dei Servizi come crocevia di professionalità diverse in cui ognuna assume le responsabilità che competono al ruolo interoperando in modo efficiente con le altre. E’ già una realtà, post covid, per tamponi e vaccini.
